Biomedical Sciences (Project Lead The Way)
- offers an intense focus on the concepts of human medicine and biomedical innovations through an introduction to physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health. PLTW courses are structured so students acquire strong teamwork and communication skills. Students develop organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills as they investigate various health conditions and infectious diseases, examine the interactions of human body systems, and explore how to prevent and fight infection. Students in the program may participate in an internship, clinical experience, or conduct independent research in the biomedical sciences field.
‡ Students may earn a minimum of four MSDE Career & Technology Education (CTE) credits for graduation.
