The Exploratory program provides stu¬dents with a range of opportunities to explore applied engineering, sustainable engineering and architectural systems (SEAS), mass communications, and visual/ graphic arts in practical applications. Students participate in all areas during their first year, select two pathways to study during Grade 7, and focus on one pathway during Grade 8.

The engineering-related pathways incorporate the Project Lead The Way - Gateway to Technology® curriculum.

Grade 8 students who follow the Visual Arts pathway may earn high school credit by successfully passing the Visual Arts exam and a portfolio review.

Deep Creek, Dundalk, General John Stricker, Golden Ring, Holabird, Middle River, Parkville, Sparrows Point, or Stemmers Run Middle School.
